What We Do
-
VIN IQ tracks the impact of your existing marketing on vehicle exposure, engagement and sales and then helps execute or improve VIN-specific campaigns to drive exposure of vehicles that are otherwise ignored by your existing marketing. This tactical marketing approach complements existing marketing efforts to increase turn and decrease markdowns.
-
Once VIN IQ has absorbed 1-2 weeks of data from your existing campaigns we can immediately recommend pivots to improve your results within the same month.
-
• Campaign Return on Investment: an apples to apples campaign comparison with over 45 metrics at the VIN-level.
• VDP Analysis: a comprehensive breakdown of which channels are driving traffic to your inventory's Vehicle Detail Pages (VDPs).
• Sold Analysis: a detailed historical understanding of your dealership’s Sell-Through and Turn Rate, Lifetime Campaign Spend Per VIN, and many other VIN-centric reports.
• Shopper Quality: a meaningful view into which campaigns are driving high quality shopper engagement on vehicles that sell.
• Group Reporting: built for dealer groups, VIN IQ provides roll-up reporting across the group and displays detailed individual store spend per VIN.
-
No. VIN IQ can track any number of vehicles. It’s used by both small local dealerships (with a few dozen vehicles) and regional dealership groups (with hundreds of vehicles).
-
Yes. VIN IQ was designed to support your dealership's marketing, not replace it. You can choose to run campaigns through the platform or outside it.
-
Within 14 days, VIN IQ will identify traffic distribution and event activity per VIN across all sources of traffic. This will highlight which VINs are consuming the bulk of your paid traffic and which are underexposed.
The above data is then used by VIN IQ to create super efficient campaigns that prevent waste on your popular VINs and will redirect that spend to drive traffic and engagement to VINs that need it most.
Between 30 and 45 days, sold vehicle data will be incorporated to provide a more detailed ROI and attribution analysis per campaign. More importantly, since the data will show which ad platforms perform best for your individual models, campaigns will be automatically enhanced to prioritize specific models on ad platforms that will drive the greatest engagement for units of each model.
The effect will be measurable increases in total VINs that achieved exposure and the average and median VDP views and engagement on underexposed VINs. You will see a measurable increase in unit sales and an acceleration in days to sale.
From a cost standpoint, you will see a measurable reduction in Cost per VDP, Cost per Engagement Event, Cost per Visitor and Cost per Sold Vehicle. You will also see a reduction in the markdowns on sold units that fall above your median days to sale.
-
To eliminate the most waste and get the best results, we recommend running your entire budget that is focused on inventory exposure through the platform. However, you’re able to choose whatever amount you’d like.
Ad Platforms
-
Google, Facebook and Microsoft aren’t optimized for the car business. They are designed to drive clicks on what’s already popular, wasting most of your budget on inventory that doesn't need additional paid marketing to sell, while the majority of your inventory gets limited exposure or none at all.
-
No. The data shows existing vehicle advertising sends more than 50% of its total clicks to the top 10 most popular vehicles. While it is logical to expect people who click on these popular cars will then spend some time looking at other vehicles during their visit, the data shows this almost never happens!
Over 90% of people who click on popular cars only look at that one car then leave your website. This is a terrible misuse of your marketing spend and only creates waste. You don’t need to pay for 100 leads on 1 car when you can get 50 accurate leads on 30 cars.
